All Assam Inter College Prize Money Debating Competition
An All Assam Inter College Prize Money Debating Competition was organised on 1st April, 2019 by S.I.P.E. Group of Institutions on the occasion of the 10th Foundation Day of the Institution; which was co-ordinated by Assistant Professors Nitish Gogoi and Ananya Sarmah. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. K.K. Deka, V.C. of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev University, Nagaon. Students from colleges all over Assam participated in the competition in which Nitish Kr. Duwarah of North Lakhimpur College was adjudged as the best debater. The best team was awarded to the team from Cotton University.
10th Foundation Day Celebrations
Every year on 2nd April, S.I. P.E. Group of Institutions observes its Foundation Day. This year also, the day was celebrated with a grand cultural event organised by the teachers and students of the Institution. The occasion was graced with a special performance by renowned singer of Assam, Mr. Kussum Kailash.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Pilot Survey`
Shreebharati College, along with PHED Dibrugarh, Dibrugarh University and few other colleges of Dibrugarh, has undertaken the Swachhta Mission under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, for the cleanliness and beautification of Dibrugarh District. On 2nd May, 2019, a team from the college presented a report showcasing the problems in drainage and waste disposal at Dibrugarh town in front of the Deputy Commissioner and other officials of Dibrugarh District.
Workshop on short stories:S.I.P.E. Group of Institution in collaboration with Archana Hospital Sahitya Sara (Swarna Sakha) for the first time have organised a workshop on short stories that started was started since 1st Sep, 2019 at Sishu Bharati Bhawan , Graham Bazaar. It was inaugurated by two prominent writers Dr Nagen Saikia and Prof. Karabi Deka Hazarika . Renowned literates Dr Jayanta Kr. Borah , Dr Monurama Borgohain and Mrs Niharika Chowdhury have also joined this workshop as resource person . This workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr Bhabani Prasad Chaliha , Dr Shantanu Lahkhar and C.R Borah .The co-ordinator of the workshop was Miss Moushumi Dutta, Asstt. Prof.Dept of Assamese.The workshop was completed on 15th march, 2020. The participants were given certificates and the winner was awarded with a prize money.
Establishment Day of Dibrugarh District:Dibrugarh, the name which reminds us of beautiful sprawling tea gardens and is famously known as “The Tea City” of Assam. On 2nd October 2019, Wednesday at 3p.m, the establishment day of this district was celebrated in Shishu Bharati Bhawan, Graham Bazar, Dibrugarh. In accordance with this occasion a programme was organised under the president ship of Dr. Shantanu Lahkar. Many dignitaries including former professor of AMC Ratan Kotoki and educationist Kaminiranjan Baruah were present. During this programme educationist Kaminiranjan Baruah was felicitated for his contributions to the upliftment of our district in case of education.
Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Janmotsav:Assam is a land rich in its diverse culture and these various cultures were tied in the thread of unity by a saint Srimanta Sankardev. Remembering the holy saint the Assamese people celebrates his birth anniversary every year. A three days Programme commemorating the 570th Birth anniversary of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev was organised by S.I.P.E. Group of Institutions on 19th, 22nd and 23rd September, 2018. The three days programme began with Naam Kirtan on the first day, followed by Art competition and Diha Naam Competition on the second day. A Cultural Rally and Closing Ceremony were held on the third day to end the three days long programme.
Silpi DivasEvery year Silpi Divas is celebrated on 17th January as Smriti Divas of Rupkonwar Jyotiprasad Agarwala. On this day, the famous artist took his last breath. Our college commemorated his Death Anniversary by observing Silpi Divas in the college premises. On this very day, two books written by Aradhana Dutta(Heruwa Kaal Heruwa Kriti) and Dr Bipul Borthakur (Osthir Roog Aaru Aami) were launched by two prominent dignitaries namely Prof. Karabi Deka Hazarika and Dr. Shantanu Lahkar.
A trip was undertaken on 22nd February, 2020 by the law college students and degree students along with the faculty members of S.I.P.E. Law College to Jiyadhol Mukh in Dhemaji and Namphake in Naharkatia. The students carried out a comprehensive study on the environmental awareness, art and culture of the indigenous people of Jiyadhol Mukh and Namphake.
